Summary

v2.6.0 (July 10, 2026) delivered the teased HIKAKIN Museum collaboration stage, controller support alpha, expanded region tags, a clone collision fix, and a Hunter FOV bump. The live public branch is now v2.7.0 (Egypt map + random-map toggles).

What changed

1. Collaboration map — HIKAKIN Museum

The HIKAKIN Museum official stage is live with collaboration-exclusive gimmicks. Host it from the official map list once everyone is on v2.6.0+.

2. Controller support — alpha

Controller support alpha landed for in-match input. UI operation is not supported — expect keyboard/mouse for menus, server browser, and paint-wheel fine tuning until a follow-up patch.

See Controls and Gamepad Not Detected if pads fail to register.

3. Region tags — Japan, South Korea, East Asia

Server creation adds Japan, South Korea, and East Asia region tags for clearer matchmaking filters.

4. Clone — hidden collision fix

Fixed collision detection not disappearing when the clone was hidden. Decoy bait should feel cleaner — see Clone System.

5. Hunter FOV — 100 → 105

Hunter field of view default increased from 100 to 105. Hiders who relied on edge-of-frustum spots may need to retest.

Frequently asked questions

Common player questions — written for search and AI citation.

What changed in Meccha Chameleon v2.6.0?

v2.6.0 adds the HIKAKIN Museum collaboration map with exclusive gimmicks, controller support alpha (UI not supported), Japan/South Korea/East Asia region tags, a clone hidden-collision fix, and Hunter FOV raised from 100 to 105.

Can I navigate menus with a controller in v2.6.0?

Not fully. Official notes call this an alpha — in-game movement and actions work, but UI operation is not supported yet. Use keyboard/mouse for lobby setup until a later patch.

Did Hunter FOV change for Seekers?

Default Hunter field of view moved from 100 to 105. Keyboard players can still tune FOV in Settings > Video; retest corner peeks if you relied on old sightlines.

Do I need v2.6.0 to play the collaboration map?

Yes. HIKAKIN Museum ships in v2.6.0+. Match friends on the same build — see Invite Not Working if joins fail.
