Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MecchaGuide ( mecchaguide.com ), an independent website that publishes unofficial guides, troubleshooting steps, map notes, and player tools for the Steam game Meccha Chameleon. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Site identity and non-affiliation

MecchaGuide is a fan-run, unofficial player hub. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with the Meccha Chameleon developer (including lemorion_1224), Valve, Steam, or Epic Games / EOS beyond ordinary player use of those platforms. Game names, logos, and in-game assets remain the property of their respective owners. Our purpose is educational and informational: helping players fix multiplayer issues and learn hide-and-seek strategies.

2. What we provide

The site may include:

• Written guides, fix steps, patch commentary, and map strategy notes
• Interactive tools (checklists, planners, quizzes, comparators)
• Links to Steam, Workshop items, and labeled affiliate offers
• Advertising (for example Google AdSense) when enabled

Content is provided for general information. Game software updates can change menus, bugs, and map layouts; always re-check in your live build.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site to break laws or Steam / platform rules
• Attempt to hack, scrape aggressively, overload, or disrupt the site
• Misrepresent MecchaGuide as an official studio or Steam support channel
• Submit malware, spam, or abusive content if contact or feedback channels are used
• Use published guides to harass other players or distribute cheats / cracked clients

We may block access or ignore correspondence that violates these rules. We do not operate in-game moderation; report players through Steam or the developer’s channels.

4. Intellectual property

Original text, diagrams we create, site design, and MecchaGuide branding are owned by MecchaGuide or its licensors. You may link to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution for personal, non-commercial discussion. You may not republish entire guides as your own product, sell our content, or mirror the site wholesale without written permission.

Third-party trademarks (Steam, game titles, GPU brands, etc.) appear for identification only.

5. User submissions

If you email tips, corrections, or screenshots, you grant MecchaGuide a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that material to improve guides (edited as needed). Do not send content you do not have rights to share. Do not send passwords or other sensitive account data.

6. Affiliate links and advertising

Some outbound links may be affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Advertising partners may show ads subject to their policies and our Privacy Policy. Affiliate or ad relationships do not change our editorial requirement that free fixes come first when they work.

7. No professional warranty

Guides are community documentation, not professional IT, legal, or financial advice. Following launch options, driver changes, or network steps is at your own risk. We do not warrant that any fix will work on your hardware, that Workshop maps are safe, or that third-party tools are free of defects.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MECCHAGUIDE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ANY GUIDE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE MINIMUM AMOUNT REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

10. Third-party sites

Links to Steam, Discord, VPN vendors, GPU control panels, or other sites are for convenience. We do not control third-party terms or privacy practices. Your use of those services is between you and them.

11. Children

MecchaGuide is a general-audience gaming information site. It is not directed at children under 13 as its primary audience. If you are under the digital age of consent in your region, use the site only with a parent or guardian’s permission where required.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and revising the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
