This Privacy Policy explains how MecchaGuide (mecchaguide.com) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website. MecchaGuide is an independent unofficial player hub for Meccha Chameleon. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

If you email us, we receive the address and content you send (for example, bug reports or correction requests). We use that information only to respond and improve guides.

2.2 Automatic technical data

Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools may process standard log data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate timestamps. We do not require an account to read guides.

2.3 Local browser storage

Some interactive tools (for example Seeker Checklist or quiz score helpers) may store preferences in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device unless you clear site data.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar identifiers to operate the site, measure traffic, remember preferences, and — when advertising is enabled — deliver and measure ads.

• Essential: security, load balancing, and basic site function.

7. Children

MecchaGuide publishes general video-game troubleshooting and strategy for a broad audience. This site is not directed at children as its primary audience and is not designed as a child-directed online service under COPPA-style rules. When advertising is enabled, we treat the site as general-audience content and do not knowingly build interest profiles from child users.

8. International visitors and consent (CMP)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, cookie and advertising consent rules may apply. MecchaGuide presents a consent banner (and, when configured, a Google-certified Consent Management Platform such as CookieYes) so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Until you consent, Google Consent Mode defaults keep ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage denied. You can reopen cookie settings from the site footer control when our banner is active, or via the CMP widget when CookieYes is installed.

Personalized ads for EEA/UK users are only intended after a certified CMP records consent and passes signals to Google. You may also use Google Ads Settings and industry opt-outs described above.

9. Location data

We do not request precise device GPS location. Approximate location may be inferred from IP address by hosting, analytics, or advertising partners for fraud prevention, analytics, or (where allowed) ad relevance.

11. Data retention
