Meccha Chameleon Exit 8 Map Guide — Spots, Paint & Seeker Routes — official stage overview

Guide confidence: Layout notes reflect v3.5.0 launch coverage (Exit 8 corridor collab) plus early lobby scouting. Spot labels use Needs Retest where prop density may still shift — send corrections via Contact.

The official Exit 8 stage (added in v3.5.0) is a looping underground corridor: fluorescent light, tiled walls, doors, and anomaly-style props. Hiders win on door recesses and poster seams; seekers win when they treat every “normal” wall as suspect and re-check after the first loop.

SeekerLong corridor sightlines make roughness mismatches obvious under flashlight

Prefer Exit 8 in private lobbies first — warm shaders before ranked. Low-end tips: Low-End PC Settings.

2. Confirmed hider spots (early scout)

Spot 1: Door recess / frame shadow (Needs Retest)

  • Location: Side doors along the main corridor loop
  • Paint: Sample door frame / wall tile · roughness 0.7–0.9 · no glow
  • Pose: Wall-Flat or Corner-Squeeze aligned to the jamb
  • Why it works: Seekers over-index on center-lane anomalies and skip “closed door” silhouettes.

Spot 2: Poster / notice board seam

  • Location: Wall posters and notice panels
  • Paint: Exact poster mid-tone · roughness matched to paper/plastic · glow off
  • Pose: Wall-Flat flush to the board edge
  • Why it works: Flat graphics hide paint noise better than blank tile.

Spot 3: Ceiling fixture / pipe run (high risk)

  • Location: Fluorescent housing or overhead pipe
  • Paint: Metal/plastic sample · optional glow ≤20% only if a real lamp is adjacent
  • Pose: Curl / Ceiling-Press on the fixture lip
  • Why it works: Late-round only — early seekers look up for Exit 8-style anomalies. Rotate down if audio closes.

3. Paint notes (v2.9.0 glow still matters)

  • Matte tile first; glow only on real emissive props (exit signs, LEDs).
  • Full workflow: Painting Basics.

4. Seeker sweep order

  1. Center corridor forward/back — flashlight specular on tile seams.
  2. Every door recess and poster wall (collision check).
  3. Ceiling fixtures and pipe runs.
  4. Second loop for “anomaly” props that look slightly wrong.

Interactive ticks: Seeker Checklist · routes: Route Planner.

5. Lobby tips

  • Use friends’ server search (v3.5.0) when Overlay invites fail.
  • Confirm fix3.5.1 for Friend List restore: fix3.5.1.

Frequently asked questions

Common player questions — written for search and AI citation.

When was the Exit 8 map added?

Exit 8 shipped as an official collaboration stage in v3.5.0 (August 1, 2026). Everyone in the lobby needs v3.5.0+ to load it.

What does Exit 8 look like?

A repeating underground corridor inspired by The Exit 8 — fluorescent tubes, tiled walls, doors, posters, and subtle anomaly props. Exact layout may still shift; treat early spots as Needs Retest.

Does glow paint help on Exit 8?

Use glow sparingly on real lamps, exit signs, and vending LEDs. Matte tile and concrete punish over-emissive paint under seeker flashlights.

What is the seeker sweep priority?

Straight corridor sightlines first → door recesses and poster walls → ceiling fixtures / pipe runs → anomaly prop clusters on a second pass.
