Meccha Chameleon NAT Type Fix — P2P Connection Guide

Strict NAT blocks Meccha Chameleon P2P hosting. Fix UPnP, port forwarding, and routing.

Why NAT matters

Meccha Chameleon uses peer-to-peer networking. If your router uses strict NAT, friends cannot connect to your lobby.

Free fixes

  1. Enable UPnP on router (see /network/upnp-setup)
  2. Host on Ethernet, not Wi-Fi
  3. Windows Firewall → allow PenguinHotel.exe
  4. Restart router after changes

Test

Host a private lobby; if only same-network friends join, NAT is likely the issue.

If still strict

Consider VPN with NAT traversal or game booster — only after manual steps fail.
